Mokichi Okada (1882-1955) was an artist, philosopher, and humanitarian whbelieved in the transforming quality of art as a means to awaken the inherent beauty within each individual. He spent most of his life in the creation of beauty in the world, in living and teaching the art of life in accord with natural law. He taught that the beauty inherent in the heart of each being, when awakened into clear expression, would transform the world into a place of truth, virtue and beauty.
